Victoria artist creates Volksfest medallion

Deb Zeller created the bronze medallion for this this year's Volksfest Medallion Hunt. Zeller of Victoria has long delighted her Deer Run neighbors with her bronze sculptures and art pieces. Now the entire community can discover her work.

Prudential honors Victoria man for volunteerism

The Carver County Historical Society (CCHS) congratulated Ron Holtmeier
for receiving the Prudential CARES Volunteer Grant for volunteer service for
the historical society. Holtmeier has logged many volunteer hours promoting the
Andrew Peterson Farm and Carver County’s
Swedish heritage. The Prudential Foundation donated $250 to CCHS in Holtmeier’s
honor.

Today is Ron Holtmeier's birthday. He's not saying how old he is but age is just a number after all...Ron and Harriet his darling wife are full of zest and vigor.Email Uncle Ron at uncleron1@embarqmail.com and wish him a "Happy Birthday." I called him on the phone and sang to him. It didn't seem to harm him any. At least he got a good laugh out of it.

Victoria artist takes the plunge into international scene

Victoria sculptor Deb Zeller, kneeling at lower right, and her crew installed her bronze, "The Plunge" last week in Altona, Manitoba. Zeller's work was selected as part of an international search. The "Gallery in the Park," is part of the Sculpture Park in Altona Coastal Park, in Manitoba. The four-acre park showcases sculpture by artists from around the world. Zeller is designing this year's Volksfest Medallion for this year's Medallion hunt contest. Volksfest is Saturday, Sept. 20.
