The Chaska Area Quilt Club challenged itself to engage children in the quilting craft. At this year's Quilt Show Oct. 3-4, at the Chaska Community Center, attendees will see the results of quilters efforts in the past year to engage children in projects that include quilting. Last Sunday, several girls worked on simple apron projects with their adult mentors. Above, Brooke Winship of Victoria uses the sewing machine under the guidance of her grandmother Donna Winship of Chanhassen. For more information about this year's Quilting Show go to www.caqc.net. Totally sweet.
This Willie's Overland Jeepster is lovingly owned and maintained by Sue Gethin of Minneapolis. Last night Mt. Olivet's Motorheads hosted its fourth annual car show at the West Campus on Rolling Acres Road in Victoria. Motorheads and the people who love them came out to see dozens of classic and contemporary cars, motorcycles, even one boat, have dinner and receive a blessing of vehicles and drivers.

Midsummer (midsommar) is the longest day of the year! The
summers are short so this day is given to celebration and partying in Sweden
and all of Scandinavia.
Midsummer Eve is always celebrated on the Friday closest to June 21. The
