I didn't intend to, but I did watch part of the Super Bowl last night. I'm not a football fan, but will say I'm a Packer fan just because I am from Wisconsin.
I watched the last five minutes of the game, which is, from I've been told was the most exciting part of the whole thing other than the commercials. Oh, and I did watch Tom Petty at halftime. I was secretly pleased the Giants won. I'm just tired of celebrity quarterbacks dating celebrity supermodels and all that. I like the Mannings. They seem like down to earth normal noncelebrities. It seemed like an upset for the common man, and woman, you know classic underdog story. Yeah Giants. But watch out for the Pack next year.
The rest of the evening I was tuned into the Puppy Bowl on the Animal Planet channel. If you love dogs, especially puppies, it's compelling TV. Me and the toy poodle girls were having a great time, snacking on Milkbones, chewies, and occasionally barking and howling at the antics on the screen. Halftime for the Puppy Bowl is the Kitten Show. Kittens tumble, climb cat structures and play with those wobbly feather things on a much glitzier set., with glittery backdrops. The puppies just have a fake Astroturf football stadium set.
And on Saturday night, I went to the Jazz Band-a-la-palooza at Chaska High School. I went with a friend whose two sons played in the CMS Jazz Band and in the 7th grade jazz band. Lots of fun. Those kids swing! If you get a chance to attend next year's jazz workshop concert, go. It's really fun. And I don't even have kids.
