Just saw John Mugford at the Victoria Field House, one of the places the Backpack Journalist alights on her daily flitting to and fro. John used to cover Victoria and was the editor of the now defunct Excelsior Bay Times. I love running into John. I see him all over town--Victoria, Excelsior, Shorewood, Chan...he's relentlessly cheerful. I love that about him. He's like a dose of sunshine. I feel like I've been bathed in Vitamin D.
